主讲人简介:

dr. yong-wang li obtained his bs in chemical engineering from technical university of inner mongolia in 1984; and phd in physical chemistry from institute of coal chemistry, chinese academy of sciences in 1994.

he then carried out postdoctoral research at the institute of petroleum research, gent university, in 1995; and at the institute of catalysis, louvain university, in 1996, in belgium.

he was the alexander von humboldt fellow at the institute of chemical engineering and the institute of fluid mechanics, university of erlangen-nürnberg, in 1999, germany.

now, prof. li is the founding manger of synfuels china technology company ltd (beijing, china) and the chairman of synfuels americas corporation (sterling, wa, us).

prof. li is the director in the national engineering laboratory of indirect coal liquefaction as well as the director of national research centre for clean fuels

prof. li is also a guest professor at the west virginia university, us.

his research interests are fundamental studies in the fields of molecular modelling in catalysis and kinetics, chemical engineering as well as process simulation related to the coal conversion processes, process development of coal/gas to liquids and related unit operation and application of new technologies in process engineering.

after more than twenty year’s efforts, the high temperature slurry-bed coal-to-oil technology was developed.

in 2009, the technology has been successfully used in two 160,000 tons/year demo plants in yitai group, inner mongolia and luan group, shanxi, and has perfectly passed the long-term operation and technical verification (more than 7 years).

in 2016, in the world's largest single set of shenhua ningmei 4 million tons/year commercial plant, the integrated technology achieved industrial applications and met remarkable success.

the current use of the technology is being implemented on the total scale of 13 million tons/year laying the road map for the development of china's coal-to-oil industry.

prof. li has published over 550 scientific papers and obtained 108 authorized patents and one software 凯发官网首页 copyright for fischer-tropsch synthesis process analysis.

he has been honored with many awards including the science and technology innovation award, national award in technology advances and innovation, outstanding science and technology achievement award.
